Big River Safaris is a guiding/outfitting service located in southern New Zealand. Your principle guide is Ross Dungey who has been fishing and hunting throughout the South Island since 1975. Ross specializes in fly fishing and and in free range hunting.

Ross has spent twenty eight years in the field of fish and wildlife management and so has a truly professional approach to his guiding. He is also a fly tying and fly fishing tutor. If you want to learn to fly fish, then banks of the nearby Clutha River are perfect.

Southern New Zealand offers unrivalled opportunities for both fly fishing and big game hunting with most destinations not more than a few short hours away. Spectacular South Island scenery, friendly people along with world class trophy fish and game make this region a premium destination.
